Happy April Fool's Day! Hopefully the returns we saw in March aren?t fooling us?sorry. The increase in all of the funds was so dramatic that the Drudgereport had a headline that this was the biggest stock comeback since 1933. What is scary is that even with a 6-8% return across the C, S, and I funds the C is barely positive and the S and I are still negative for the year!
As you can see, my analysis is still keeping me firmly in the C Fund at 100%. I think you can see that although the monthly returns for the S were higher, the risk in that fund still doesn't warrant any funds being placed in it. The sortino standard deviation really shows the descrepancy between the three funds as well. I would say that I am fairly comfortable with the market right now, except that it is an election year and the market can get dicey the closer we get to the election. I will be releasing a further analysis on where the S&P500 stands in the Island of Stability in the coming days-look for it on my blog.
