Now that election season has passed and a new president has been chosen, the market and analysts should more accurately measure a company's stock price and better forecast future earnings, respectively. It is clear that the S Fund, with small caps, foresees a rally in smaller companies that service the U.S. economy, while the larger companies, which are represented by the C Fund, are also forecasted to grow. However, the stocks in the C Fund are probably being weighed down by uncertainty in how the larger international companies will perform in an environment that is more nationalistic than globalist. I think that if the election went the other way, we would have seen the S Fund drop preciptiously and the C Fund probably perform just a little better. I was not picking sides with my distribution summary but rather trying to reduce the risk with either outcome. While I would have preferred to ride the S Fund wave, I am comfortable in a 3.71% monthly return. There could still be profit taking at the end of the year in the S Fund and bringing its returns back to Earth, my system is telling me to place 100% of my contributions and current holdings in the S Fund.
