I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend and had time to reflect on those that have fallen.
Welcome to another month of returns. Unfortunately, with the market ups and downs in May and my shift to the F Fund, my returns stayed somewhat flat but also safe. Since I'm not trying to time the market on a micro scale I'm OK with this. Sometimes the timing works and other times it doesn't.
I did benefit from timing at the first of the month which increased my returns over just the basic monthly returns. Although the F Fund only realized a gain of 0.08%, I actually realized a gain of 1.08% for the month due to the volatile first trading day of May.
So, my system is telling me to switch back to 100% C Fund, but ever so weakly. Based on my previous 11+ years of distributions, this is the weakest signal I have have had to move out of the F Fund.
As a reminder, I change my allocations for the first day of the month so I have just put in my changes! Enjoy your June and the warm weather!
