Another impressive month along with a possible breakthrough with a possible agreement on President Trump's tax plan in the Senate has propelled the TSP funds to higher levels yet again. There are still many analysts that see technical signs in the market that point to it turning bearish, but my system is not showing these signs. However, it does point to some caution on the C Fund and is still heavily weighted on the I Fund. My allocation percentage has never seen such positive indicators in my over 13 years of allocating my TSP. How long we will remain at these positive levels remains to be seen. At any momemt a tax plan could be rejected, and the prices that have been factored into the market could quickly evaporate. Assuming the tax plan is passed, our next major hurdle will be the shopping season and the month of January. Although it is tempting to chase the healthy returns of the C Fund, a calculated and balanced approach with an I Fund allocation is my course of action. Keep Investing!
