I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. We had a very respectable month with positive returns on all the Funds. The rally that was mainly focused on the S Fund last month seems to have tapered a bit and the money has started to find a home in both the C and I Funds. The I Fund investments is an interesting development in light of the new administration's policies, but I think it is more of a result of the stabilization (at least in the near term) of oil prices and a year-end desire to buy cheaper overseas stocks in the hope of a global recovery. We will have to see where the I Fund leads us. For now, I am shifting back into the C Fund. I think the strong rally it is now enjoying is a result of the new administration's proposed tax policies, reduced regulations, and general relief that the economy will be the focus for at least the next four years. We have ended the year with a positive 3.91% return. Given all the ups and downs, I will take it. I know that the C and S Funds performed much better, but chances are that if we had chased the market we would have lost, and the risk profile for both was very high. My system, while it misses some of the rallies, prevents the catastrophic loss seen in previous years and the annualized, 10, and 5-year returns prove it. Have a Happy New Year!
