There seems to be a lot of people who think they know which way the stock market will go these days. Some think it will come to a grinding halt on March 15th, others think that once President Trump's tax plan is revealed it will continue its rocket to the moon, while other think that the tax plan has been priced in and it will drop once analysts correct their models for the actual proposals. What I do know is I like the direction the market has been heading and I will continue to be bullish on both the C and the S Funds. Do I think they will continue to post these wonderfully positive returns month after month, certainly not. I have been calculating my percentages for years and I know better. However, the risk, at this juncture, of not taking advantage of the strong trade winds, pun intended, is too great to ignore. I am adjusting my holdings in the S Fund by about 25% over last month as I think the S&P 500, and by extension larger businesses, will continue to revise their macro business models as more stability returns to the economy. The rally in the small caps was predicated on President Trump's small business friendly tone, and now he has taken the same with larger businesses. I would expect a busy year for allocation changes which has been a positive sign in years past. Think long-term and keep investing!
