Not a very big month, up or down, for the market. I was in the S Fund, the worst performing fund of the TSP for March, but not significantly so. What is striking is the performance of the F Fund at 1.93%, its fifth best month since 2004. My concerns are raised a bit by its return and my own calculations. Below is a chart of my system indicators, when it is negative, I have cause for concern. I'm still in the C Fund for April, but I am wary of the next few months. I can explain election cycle shocks in the market, but we are not really in the election cycle yet. A couple of issues that are on my mind and possible impacts: Brexit (low-market has priced it in), China trade war (low-priced in and the US seems to still have the upper hand), Border Crisis (medium-closing the border with Mexico would have an impact), Overall economy (medium-signs are showing reduced GDP although it is still very positive, but the trend is important, oil price increase, and unknown impact of the floods in the Midwest).
